Position Summary:

American Frontline Nurses is seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive Community Manager to lead and support our Remdesivir Support Group on Facebook. This group provides a safe, understanding space for individuals and families affected by remdesivir-related injuries or loss. As a Community Manager, you will help foster meaningful conversations, ensure the group remains supportive and respectful, and empower members by connecting them with relevant resources and advocacy opportunities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement:Welcome new members, encourage introductions, and foster regular discussions and peer support.

  • Moderation:Monitor posts and comments to ensure group guidelines are followed; remove harmful content and address any violations with sensitivity and professionalism.

  • Supportive Presence:Offer emotional support and validation to members navigating trauma, loss, or medical injury related to remdesivir.

  • Resource Sharing:Provide members with vetted educational materials, advocacy updates, and links to support networks or legal resources when applicable.

  • Collaboration:Work with the leadership team to identify trends, share feedback from the community, and assist with planning awareness campaigns or virtual events.

  • Content Planning (Optional):Help develop weekly discussion prompts, polls, or informational posts that spark engagement and encourage healing.


Qualifications:

  • Lived experience with remdesivir-related harm (personally or through a loved one) preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Empathetic, trauma-informed approach to peer support.

  • Familiarity with Facebook Groups and basic moderation tools.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold the group’s values.

  • Strong alignment with the mission and values of American Frontline Nurses.
