Smile Makers
What is The Smile Makers Program?
The Smile Makers Program is a program offered by American Frontline Nurses that sends art and sensory supplies to children who are hospitalized due to illness or injury. The program aims to bring joy and comfort to sick kids by providing them with creative outlets that can help alleviate the stress and boredom that often accompany a hospital stay.

The program accepts donations of art supplies such as markers, paint, and paper, as well as sensory items like play dough and sensory balls listed in our Amazon Charity List. Volunteers then package and distribute the donations to hospitals across the country, ensuring that sick children have access to the supplies they need to create and explore.

Through The Smile Makers Program, sick kids are able to express themselves creatively, engage in sensory play, and have fun despite the challenges they may be facing. The program strives to improve the quality of life for hospitalized children and their families, while also fostering a sense of community and kindness.
